My Age Zimbabwe joins in commemorating the International Day of the African Child, a day to celebrate the power, resilience, and potential inherent in every young African. We reflect on the courageous actions of the Soweto learners of 1976, who bravely resisted injustice. Inspired by their example, we reaffirm our commitment to championing the rights of African children.
My Age Zimbabwe advocates for:
- Quality education is accessible to all.
- Unfettered access to sexual and reproductive health services and information.
- Robust protection against violence, discrimination, and harmful practices.
- A future shaped by the voices and perspectives of young people themselves.
Guided by our core principle, “Nothing for us, without us,” My Age Zimbabwe believes that every child deserves to be safe, heard, and empowered, not only on this day but every day.
