Logistics plus Sexual Reproductive Health Rights!

 Mannered Chandiyenga

As a Logistics Officer at My Age Zimbabwe, my responsibilities extend beyond mere supply management. My work directly impacts the organization’s mission: championing Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and promoting youth well-being across Zimbabwe.

Access to SRHR services empowers young people to make informed choices. Reaching marginalized youth requires meticulous resource management, making my role crucial. By managing the distribution of educational materials, contraceptives, and health supplies, I ensure consistent access to youth-friendly services. This includes organizing transportation for mobile clinics and distributing informational pamphlets, bridging the gap between services and those in need.

Efficient logistics support outreach programs, ensuring workshops and health campaigns reach remote areas, raising SRHR awareness. Furthermore, logistics involves safeguarding sensitive materials and maintaining privacy during distribution, upholding the confidentiality vital in reproductive health services.

My work contributes to an environment where young people can access essential SRHR services. Logistics, though often behind the scenes, is a cornerstone of effective SRHR advocacy, empowering young people to take charge of their sexual and reproductive health.
