My Age Africa, a youth-led organisation dedicated to advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), recently undertook pivotal orientation visits to Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) and Reformed Church University (RCU). These initiatives underscore the organisation’s commitment to ensuring young people have access to comprehensive and accurate SRHR information.
The engagement at GZU provided My Age Africa with a valuable platform to introduce its mandate and foster dialogue among students regarding SRHR, youth participation, and the critical importance of reliable health information. This interaction served not only to raise awareness but also to empower young people to make informed decisions about their health, positioning GZU as a continuing hub for youth-centric SRHR discussions.
The visit to RCU marked a significant milestone, representing the inaugural collaboration between My Age Africa and the institution. This new partnership extends My Age Africa’s reach to a previously untapped student demographic and establishes a foundation for sustained engagement.
Collectively, these two visits highlight the strategic importance of cultivating a robust network of university partnerships over isolated interactions.
